 Bodicote

Journeying north on the A423 from Oxford one could perhaps be forgiven for missing Bodicote village as it is not on the main road. However, why not turn into the village at the first sign and enjoy both the old and new parts. A number of stone cottages and several of the large old mansions still exist (one of the latter now houses part of Cherwell District Council). There is no village green as such, but there are lots of green open areas, including a large playing field.

To the south-west of the village the delightful Sorbrook flows, and just above on farmland overlooking Bloxham is an attractive windmill.
