North Oxford - Spring 2006

Sorry about the delay in posting these results, but it took a while for Big Ben to find the pictures - a couple of the team results have also gone astray - a shambles!

I was away on important business (the beach) and haven't got a clue what went on, suffice to say that we have yet another new King Ogre - Mark 'The Boy' Coombes with an unbelievable new record 42.

He was closely followed by his old sparring partner Ronnie 'the dogger' Van Der Plogger, who also had trouble in counting over five with an astonishing 40.

Messrs Gilmann, Venables and Shirley hung on to the doggers coat tails and scraped the team prize following a quiet day for the Meninblack and in the absence of the full Thomas Merrrifield side. 

Guy 'ex SAS' Glover's absence with a shattered metatarsal left the coveted nearest the pine trophy wide open - this was skilfully grabbed by David 'is that really me in all the photos' Blobby.

Mike 'bully boy' Barker returned to Ogres expecting to collect his usual longest drive trophy. Unfortunately, he came across the mighty 'councillor' Venables who kept his ball on the fairway.  Bullies' business partner, 'smiler' Broad, skilfully wrenched the most golf prize from Ian 'Caesar' Cassertari (the Peter Kay look-alike) with a stunning 14 (still some way off caesars record 11!).

We will do it all again in the autumn.
